Anglesey Race Circuit
Anglesey Race Circuit: The Best Privately Owned UK Circuit
Are you a thrill-seeker? Do you want to get behind the wheel of a supercar or drive around one of the best tracks in the United Kingdom? Then the motorsports experience days at the Anglesey Race Circuit are perfect for you! Also known as the Trac Môn in Welsh, this is one of the most prominent and exciting developments in the British Motorsport sphere in this millennium! The race circuit is one of the few that are constructed and designed using a new concept. Creators are leveraging the undulating landscape and come up with a course that offers drivers a mix of fast sections, imaginative cambers and technically challenging mid-range corners.
The Anglesey Race Circuit also has two hairpin bends and a 10 percent bank corner. These differing configurations offer the foundation that enables the circuit to host several motorsport events around the year. Plus, it also hosts several major international events! Read on to find out more about the Anglesey Race Circuit.
The Angelsey Race Track Driving Experience
The Anglesey Race Circuit is for anyone that is looking for breathtaking cars. Plus, these cars are at your disposal! Supercars you can experience during the driving experience include Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, and Porsches. Make your dream come true and choose which cars you want to see race against each other!
During each track driving experience, a trained instructor accompanies you to ensure you are safe on and off the track – and in full control of your chosen supercar. Want to see how your car measures up against a Lamborghini? Just bring your ride to the track day experience and do laps around the course to your heart’s content.
It is said that the concept for the Anglesey Circuit came from a conversation between Richard Peacock (owner of Northern Island’s Kirkistown Racing School) and Michael Douglas (Bodorgan Estate’s manager). This conversation was the spark that hatched a plan to construct a circuit for motorcycles and cars on a former military base.
The first event took place in October 1992. While the infrastructure was rudimentary, the track earned a reputation for having a good surface and the best organisation. The first successful event encouraged the organisation of several more races in the coming years. They include sprint and rallycross events. Anglesey Circuit underwent a major upgrade in 2006. The new layout is flowing and fast, making it a popular choice for both local and international race car drivers.
How to Get There
The Anglesey Circuit is near Rhosneigr on Anglesey in Wales. John Lennon Airport in Liverpool is the closest airport, which is also a short distance from the track.
